Pre natal support groups

Pregnant women

The courses for birth preparation usually start from the seventh month of pregnancy. However, many women feel isolated and would appreciate having a support network available sooner in their pregnancy.
We offer a support group to meet their requirements in which they would be able to express themselves about pregnancy. This group also supports women who will give birth prematurely via pre-birth preparation courses.

  1. What does pregnancy represent?
Pregnancy creates lots of physical and psychological changes, so we offer support groups in which women feel free to express themselves about their pregnancy, their stress, their fear, their anxiety, their happiness and their pain. We help them put some distance between themselves and things generally, to try to live their pregnancy with a little bit of serenity.
  2. The fear to give birth
To give birth is something that still scares many women. Whether it is the pain or the fear of not to being able to do it, the thought of their baby not be normal, the eventuality of having a caesarean. Here two future mothers can discuss their fears, their expectations, and also the role of the medical staff who are working with them. We would like them to feel at ease on the day they give birth and feel free to ask questions to the medical team without being afraid of being judged. They should understand that this specific day belongs to them.
  3. Change in private and professional life
For many working women to stop working for medical reasons may be a difficult thing to live with. In fact they still feel like a working person but they are now kind of out of this society on one hand and on the other they don't yet feel like mothers. The support group offers to listen to them, help them to meet with each other to share and break this isolation and build a positive vision of their pregnancy.
  4. Different problems met during pregnancy
During the pregnancy some women may encounter health, professional or private problems. To be able to discuss these problems, to find relief and to live out their pregnancy better is something we find is very important for these women.
