1 in 10 mothers experience difficulty in adapting to motherhood. We would like to make future and new mothers, together with their families, adapt to this « state » before and after they give birth. The aim is to prevent them from being lost and unprepared if they were to face a motherhood difficulty. On the contrary we want them to know that motherhood difficulty is a reality and that if they were to face up to it we could send them to specific places where they will be taken care of. The support group is there to discuss with no shame at all, and to accompany the mother towards a specific structure and above all the early detection of motherhood difficulty.
The department of Maternologie of Saint Cyr l'Ecole is the first department in France to work with women who suffer from motherhood difficulty.
